Raintime Memories..

 Raintime memories...

That's one rainy day's evening time. rain stopped now, but little bit drizzling. I started my walking in the Main Road with an umbrella in precaution of rain.

Even street lights on, the dark clouds makes the roadside area more darker.

That road leads to Major IT Companies area in Chennai. Lot of Cars,Autos and Bikes passing in speed and Buses too.

Even I Walk in the platform, i keep walking to the platform's corner side next to the Canal Banks, to get safe distance, from rain water splashes from moving vehicles.

Actually i am not in the safe distance, the speeding vehicles running through rain water, caused heavy splash across road, also spilled on me.

To save me from dirty water bath, i put the umbrella to cover my body. Even though, the water splashes, wet my pant.

If i go further till the usual daily walking distance, i will sure got the rain water bath.

Hence i decided to turn back to home. When i try to turn, there is one Honda Activa slowly passing near me and suddenly stopped few meters after to me.

One Young Girl stepped out from the Scooter and put the Vehicle to Stand.

She tried to start the scooter, by placing the key to ignition. But weak Engine sound ...

----
----

only heard, and it stopped quickly. She tried few times, but it not started.

Meantime i reach her on my way. She called me, Sir, Vehicle not starts. can you please help me?! she asked in tired voice.

Her voice little shivering. I thought, may be due to the very cold rainy weather or fear of stranding in dark main road, may make her nervous.

I reach the vehicle and gave my umbrella to her by saying, Don't worry, you will ride by your scooter to reach your home soon.

I look the Scooter, it fully wet, i asked her, was there rained on your coming time?!

she said, "No sir, but lot of ditches on my way, the water splashed on me when the scooter ride in ditches on the road. "

Ok, let's check, i said and on the ignition key, simultaneously kick to start the scooter. little engine roaring sound and stops.

I kicked some times, after wait for a minute, i kick again.

This time it started, i turn the throttle to rise, after heat the engine running normal.

I called the Girl, come, you can move now, Your scooter is ok, due to roadside water splash on scooter, the battery may affect, if this problem arise again,

Dont turn the key to start engine. Simply kick start sometimes, it will starts..

There is no response from her. So i slowly turn, to her side by telling all these..

When i turn.. I shocked.

Her face panicking, she is keeping her hands on scooter seat back grip.

First i dont realize that why she is doing like this, but suddenly understand after that she may fear,

That i may theft her scooter after starting, so she keep her hands ready to pull and stop the vehicle, if i do like that.

On seeing her panic, i switched off the engine and move some distance from her scooter.

She goes near to her scooter, She not yet replied me. I told her, start the scooter.

After hearing my voice, in no seconds, she seated and started the scooter then left the area very quickly.

I watch until the scooter move away from my eyesight.

I understood her fear. it natural. so i don't feel anything wrong.

I slowly started my walk again to reach home, While walking, i realized that my umbrella missing.

I look around and finally seen it's in the edge of the platform. I walked to there and collected the umbrella.

Ok. let's move.., i said to myself and walks again.

Wait! Wait!

please dont blame the young girl!

I had no expectations on my support to her. that's a very ordinary matter.
I seen her as like my daughter.

But its not necessary that she also thinking like that. Still we have safety issues to our girl children.

That is a dark rainy day's evening. her scooter stopped in midway, everyone will be have some kind of fear, on that time.

So her fear and her avoidance on me is totally understandable,

I pray for her that she may not met with such incidents in her life again and wishes her a happy life!
